The Girl with the Skin of Gold

She was 10, when she started realizing the pebbles didn't recognize her as the same,

She didn't know her worth was getting estimated by the sand & dust,

She started finding her lustrous golden skin as some disgrace in a room full of flesh, wrapped in silver skin.

Everyone gawked at her as she entered the room, as if she was wearing some abnormal skin that needs to be peeled,

Yes, abnormal skin!

A skin so precious that the world doesn't know its worth, hence it tries to cover the golden skin with the worldly ashes of uncertainty & hush!




The girl started to grow out of the ashes that covered her skin, day and night to dim her shine,

That sunrise made her glow so bright that everyone watched her, with their envious eyes, 

That very skin was just a symbol of shame till the golden girl was covered by the ashes of worldly game.
